T5 Bulb replacement strategy

So all 6 bulbs are about 10 months old and I've been told that around this mark they start to fade and be less effective. All 6 bulbs are run for 10 hours a day. I have all new bulbs and was wondering what is the best strategy for replacing them without shocking or bleaching the coral. Do I replace 1 or two bulbs every few days and keep the fixture hanging at the same height or do I replace them all at the same time and raise the fixture up some amount? Or some combination of the two and if I do raise the fixture how gradually do I lower the fixture. I'm sure there's not a definite science behind this but just looking for other people's experience.

I read online that I would be best if you change one a week so you won't have an impact on your livestock.

Okay thanks. I should have also asked if people agree with 10 months being a good time to change or am I jumping the gun?
