Tank cycle

Quick question was wondering if while cycling my tank do I use a blackout or the light schedule i plan on using?

Either is fine
You'll get algae faster with the light on but it's hard to look at a dark tank

Hahaha.... it is tuff to look at a dark tank! I've had it running for a little more than a week only have lights on a few hours at night when I'm down in that room otherwise it's been lights out. Either way I'll get the algae when I go to a full light schedule so there should be no difference in starting now rather than later then. I attached a picture of my sump adding live rock to drain section this week should I have made the baffle separating the drain from the refugium equal to the highest baffle from the bubble trap? I have to repipe the drain line to go to the outside wall of the tank but wasn't sure if I should make the first baffle higher

It'll work either way. Mine is set up with equal baffles also.
