This morning, by sheer luck I decided to take a quick look at the tank. I was looking at the temperature display on the head unit to my RK2. It read 79 degrees...good, because I have it set to be between 79-80. Then before my eyes it literally started moving, and within two minutes it went up to 91 degrees. Obviously, the water did not. I checked the water temp with a regular thermometer, and it was 79 degrees.
I have not moved anything, and the probe is where it always was. I moved the probe around to different places, and put it in the display away from anything electrical. The 91 degree reading did not change. I unplugged the probe and module and that did not solve the problem either.
I am glad I just happened to see this by coincidence this morning...because this turned on my chiller, which would have ran all day and likely killed the entire tank.
Does anyone know what the deal is?
