Tune in tonight at 7P EST for my chat with hobbyist Alex Correa.

Alex has been fascinated by aquariums since he was 6 years old and had his first fresh water tank when he was 10. He moved on to a saltwater fish only tank when he was 22.

He started to volunteer at the Waikiki Aquarium in 1995, working for Charles Delbeek maintaining both saltwater and fresh water systems, later working also for Dr. Bruce Carlson helping to maintain the coral farm at the Aquarium.

He also volunteered as a mentor for the Marine Option Program at the University of Hawaii in 2003 and he worked for one of the best companies in Honolulu, Wayne’s Ocean World, Inc, that received, maintained and exported marine tropical fishes around the globe.

He has also written articles for various magazines and books published in Brazil, Portugal, Italy, USA and UK. In addition, Alex contributed to The Reef Aquarium Vol 3, by Charles Delbeek and Julian Sprung, and worked with Alf Nielsen, on his last book published in 2016, providing samples and images.
