Tunze 6105 Controllable

Thinking of adding a Tunze 6105 controllable power head to my 60 gal 3 ft rimless, I'm a bit concerned it may be to big any thoughts? The tank does not have any power head at this time just two return flex lines, the power head controles from 700 to 3400 GPH.

It may be too big but they have an adjustment to limit the percentage of power so it may work for you. There may be less expensive alternatives though.

Jim, a 6095 controllable may be an option as well.

I prefer to get flow from at least two powerheads. I think one of those would be well oversized, but two different powerheads that pushed 3400 GPH combined (more or less depending on the corals you want) would be preferable IMO.

6105 comes with a tiny dial that can slow it down without a controller

I should have stated this that I also would purchase one of the controllers, need to do a little read up on them.
