Weirdo Hippo Tang

I have a juvenile hippo that I've had for about 4 months now.

He's doing great but he has one bizarre behavior - after he eats, he continuously heads up to the surface and grabs some air.

After a while he looks like he swallowed a marble and has trouble swimming properly.

The first time I saw him I was worried he would die.

But he does this night after night - almost like it's a game.

Every morning, he's his normal looking self; I'm not sure if he burps or farts out the air.

Anyone else ever seen this behavior?

My hippo does some weird things as well. I was going to suggest it might be swimming bladder but if it's doing good in the day then it may just be a bad habit he's developed.

Normal behavior for blue tangs, some do this and some don’t. I have one doing this for the past 2 years.
