I thought it was coming from the coral. I’ll look into it it may have been touching another coral

It’s the stuff from the coral when there’s a nearby coral that it wants to fend off. I see this on Rhodactis shrooms quite frequently when disturbed but go away later

If the coral is on the ground the detritus sticks to the coral mucus and forms those tuffs. I just siphon it away.
