Will you want Neodymium magnets. They come plastic covered. I have used them to make frag racks.

those are incredible magnets. careful not to crack your glass with them!

Any chemists know how teflon reacts in a reef tank?

If they arent reactive these might be a good bet. At an N52 rating I bet it would hold most things up

don't know about teflon.. but neodymium is the way to go...

I have some of those (not the plastic coated ones), they are about the size of a dime. I used them to hold frag disks on the glass of my 210 (with no issues with them holding) only issue is that I think they are nickel plated and they seem to get a rusty film on inside so I stopped using them. you dont want to get you fingers between them....rob

Could try search for samarium cobalt magnets, and coat with a Silicone type tool coating...
The magnets are about as strong as they get and def. need to be encapsulated before put in water.
