Hey everyone,
a friend approached me asking where he could get one of these guys (axolotl) for his daughters upcoming birthday. He's an avid freshwater guy and daughter is showing interest in the hobby. I believe osa is sold out. Preference on white/albino or pink color. Appreciate any leads, thanks

I have had axolotls for several years. They are fantastic pets and early to keep. 2 large males in a 50 gal tank (beware male and female together; they will chase each other, get stressed, breed often). They like low light, little/no current, and COLD water (you need a chiller to keep the temp 62-64 degrees). Feed pellets. They love them, grow fat, and they don't make a big mess.

I would suggest buying online. They are safe to ship through the mail. No problem. There are two sites I would recommend:
(1) Fantaxies (https://fantaxies.com) - Best site, you can pick the precise animal you want, they have a large selection, high quality product and excellent service, really committed to the well-being of their animals.
(2) Ivy Axolotls (https://www.ivysaxolotls.com) - I have seen some poor reviews online, but I have had a good experience with them. Pellets are great.

Good luck.

We just got a dozen in this week @ All Things Aquatic

Kevin and Tandy at All Things Aquatics are great to deal with. You should definitely take a look if you are interested and can get out to Foxborough.
