white tread like spot on squamosa clam ?

i have a lg squamosa clam with a small white thread like area on the mantle. its a raised area of tissue. i dont know whats causing it. it has not grown much at all, but its been there about 5 months now its the size of a bb anyone ever see this cond. before?
