hi,

would somebody help.

I have 3 frags of zoa (blue tub zoa, Gorilla nipple zoa, green looking zoa). and none of them are happy in my display tank. they not open up fully. some open and some do not. I have ATI t5 light and MP40 powerhead in my 40g display

When I put them in the sump with a cheap T12 (a little brighter than my flash light) and they open up and were very happy. sump does not have powerhead

why is that anyone know?

thanks

How much flow is being directed at them? Zoas tend to prefer mild water movement.

My red and blue hornets liked low flow and the sand bed for the first 3 months.......now i had to move them 2/3 the way up and in higher flow to get them to come out. I would just move them around to different light/flow until you find a place they like.

As a general precaution, make sure there are no pests on them which might be causing them to be closed up.
