Will my acan survive?

My candy cane just burnt/melted half my acan and was wondering if it's gonna survive or what I should do to aid the acan?

Acan has a pretty good recovery rate. Takes a long time but hang in there. It'll come back.

Target feed it to help it along.

+1 on target feeding... I actually had a coral fall on an acan and half of it doesn't look good. I'm actually going to frag off the bad part so it doesn't kill the whole colony. FWIW my bad half looks like mush so it's beyond gone

Ok thanks everyone. It seems to be looking a little happier after all the mush went away and its eating. I was just worried that if a mouth was burnt off it wouldnt survive.

Make sure the 'Mush', Assuming it's from the damaged/dead head(s) is lightly sucked out if possible (Turkey baster could do the trick) . This ensures that any bacterial infection does not pass to the undamaged head.

You may have to do like Dave and frag the bad parts... Keep an eye out for new mush!
