Worm or other?

This thing in the picture is about 1-2mm long. It consistently puts out what looks like coral poop, but it's really fine, and clear, like spider silk. If I suck it up with a baster or remove it somehow it just comes back, quickly, like minutes. It's sort of sticky too as it will catch the ultra fine sand dust that gets kicked up. The critter doesn't really retract, or move, but it's hard to tell since it's so small.

It's not doing anything, or causing trouble, I'm just curious what it is.

Vermetid snail. They are a pest and spread rapidly. Next to impossible not to get though unfortunately. Best way to remove is to superglue the tube shut.
