Carbon dosing via kalkwasser & vinegar

I currently add vinegar to my top off water which contains kalkwasser per RHF article on the subject. This supposedly breaks down the kalk to obtain its maximum efficiency. My question: would any excess vinegar be used as a form of carbon dosing? Does anyone have a good article on carbon dosing via vinegar? Who has experience and can comment on vinegar dosing vs. bio pellets?

Yes the vinegar will act as a carbon source. Other than allowing more kalk to be dosed vinegar dosing is pretty much the same as vodka dosing except that vinegar is about 8 more dilute.

+1. Works for me, and i have a heavy bio load/feed tons. Don't starve your tank, and start slow.
