I am back , Red Sea 625G2 build

The Reef Pit

Non-member
Well after selling all my stuff to Dong back in 2016 for a remodel I am back .. This will be a slow process and I am not rushing it at all ..

After going back and forth on what tank I wanted I decided to go with the Red Sea 625 G2 , as for the tank itself I am very impressed by the quality of the build .. As for the stand it was a pain in the butt to bout together .. I was going to go with a bigger size but I am glad I didn’t .. this tank was a beast to get up my steps ,in my home .. The tank weighs 340 lbs and hope I never have to move it again..

I still see some familiar names on the site, and a lot of new ones as well.. Marry Christmas and Happy New year everyone , can’t wait to start reefing again ..

Well another new addition to the fish family and I couldn’t be more happy .. For weeks I was trying to get my flame fin tang to eat nori , clip to the glass , elastic to the a piece of rock , nothing worked .. Then I got a powder blue tang and he started eating the nori right away on a clip , and then the Flame fin tang started eating it as well .. still trying not to buy corals yet but the progress has been great so far .. Happy reefing and Easter fellow reefers

Beautiful fish! I too am just setting up a new tank. Doing the same thing with dry rock and no lights for a few months. It is not as difficult as I thought!!!

Thanks , I am on about two months now and I am getting the coral fever , this past week I started keeping the lights on for about 5 hours a day and so far have avoided nuisance algae..

nice tank I was looking at that for a possible upgrade
I looked at so many before deciding on the RedSea ,The tank it self to me is AWSOME , 3/4 glass is heavy around 340 pounds on the tank alone .The plumbing was easy to put together..The stand was a pain to put together.. I wish it was aluminum .. I don’t care for the sump design but I live with it
