Setting up a new tank need suggestions!

It would really depend on the width of the tank and what color "look" you are trying to achieve. Can you get by with two? I'm sure, but you will be limited. If you can go with four bulbs then why not. You will probably be happier in the long run. How wide is the tank?

I run a 150 halide over my 20 long and I have the fixture about 12-14" high

I went with a four bulb aquatic life fixture, I am planning on buying ati bulbs next week what should I get for best spectrum/growth

Will be following this. I am thinking of selling my AL Sol LEDs and trying out t5s. I am going to get the Aquatic Life with the built in timer and LEDs.
