Almost lost my lil' buddy!

I came home 2 days ago to this

I freaked and came so close to trying to pull it off, but then I thought I would probably hurt it more. So I turned off the PH and waited patiently. It took about 6 hours for it to move, but it still wasn't doing too well yesterday. Today it seems fine and is roaming the tank again. This thing must be one of the hardiest linkias I've ever seen! Maybe it's that 6th leg?
