Aqua Medic 250W MH?

Does anyone have any experience with the Aqua Medic 250W HQI pendants?

I'm looking into buying 2 for my 72G Bow reef.

I'm using the oceanlight 24" 250w + 2x24w t-5 aquamedic fixture. I like it, it runs a tad warm but so have alot of other units i've used. I just tossed a fan to come on with the lights, temps go down now instead of up when tanks lit.

The aquamedic ballasts can be picky with some bulbs FYI. I think jeremy said they work great with german bulbs. Some of the jap stuff is questionable.

best light on the market IMO, i have had 3 of them looking to get another one

Nice fixture, the ballast fans are kind of cheap/ noisy sleeve bearings and mostly Chinese components inside like everything else today.

It's definitely time to upgrade to MH lighting for me.

I'm currently running 4X65 W PC's Atinics for 12 hours and 10k daylight for 10 hours.

How long should I run the MH to acclimate the tank inhabitants.
