I have been told by a LFS that a number of people use Caribsea dry aragonite substrate (which I think essentially is crushed corals) in their calcium reactors instead of ARM because it is a lot cheaper.
I looked at the bag’s contents; visually it looks the same like ARM, maybe a little bigger particle size.
Anyone have any experience with this or suggest a cheaper alternative to ARM?
