Can I color locline w/a marker

I'd say it depends on the type of marker. I assume you want to mark the line so you know what direction it flows or what it does or something? (unless maybe that cute kid in your avatar got ahold of some markers and wanted to paint the fishies?)
Permanent like a Sharpie I'd say no big deal just let it dry before it sees too much water. Remember, we connect rocks with epoxy putty, attach frags with super glue, weld piping with PVC cement. Most organic type compounds are tolerable in small quantities especially after curing. They probably will cause your skimmer to go a bit nuts though.
