I found these larvae a couple nights ago while checking on the white spot anemone shrimp egg clutch during light out. It seems to be clam larvae. Notice the eyes on the shells. Some appears to be a lot larger than others so I think the hatching took place a couple days prior. The only mollusk I have for the last few months in the tank is a decent sized Electric Flame Scallop but its by itself. I believe its a female due to its current size. I read that it starts out as male and becomes female as it gets older. Average life for a flame scallop (closer related to file clams) is about 3 years in the wild. Check this out and let me know if you guys seen something like this before.
