Any ideas on what would cause cloudy greenish water? I only have a few fish and corals . 125 gallon tank with 75gallon sump. I don't have parameters at the moment ,I'm at work. Last week parameters were fine. Tank has been running 7 months. Thanks in advance. Tonight I'll have all parameters

Something accidentally fall in?
What are you using for top-off water?
Anything new added?

Rodi for top off , nothing that I know has fallen in. I added some calcium and some buffer a few days ago

Algae bloom. Get a UV sterilizer which should clear it up. You probably have some nutrient issues which you will also have to get under control.

I will start to fill that sump with macro and some rocks. What I see in the picture is a too sterile, too clean, sump. Make it a fuge.

To solve the algae bloom or it could be also precipitation of the Calcium/buffer you added, i will just hang on a cheap Petco water HOB filter filled will the filtering white fibers that Petco sells too. It will trap all suspended material. I can't remember how to call it now. Is a big cheap bag.

Cheers
Daniel
