Color Changing Resin Question

My DI resin turned from blue to tan a couple of months before my normal RODI maintenance schedule. After replacing it, I noticed it was blue again after drying in the garbage can. Did I change it too soon? Should I have also changed all my filters and RO membrane? This is the first time I can remember it changing color so soon.

Do you have a TDS meter? I first had color changing resin but even after it turned all brown I was still getting 0 TDS so I waited until it went to 1. I ended up replacing the carbon and pre filters since they were cheap enough. I opened up my membrane and replaced it as well since it looked like crap. I also switched to normal non color changing resin to save a few bucks.

You were right to change it. You can verify it by watching the tds in and out. Co2 crushes DI resin and I think that gasses off when it’s out
