Converting a nano into a QT

I am thinking of making a pretty huge upgrade to a 180g. However, I wanted to use one of my current nano tanks (24g aquapod) as a QT for fish going into a big system. However, I am concerned that the tank won't be large enough for the large tangs, etc.. that I will be adding. Is it ok to quarantine larger fish for say, a month in a tank that small?

i did the exact same thing. it is perfect for pygmy angels and the like but wont do squat for fishes such as tangs and butterflies.

in fact a 24g nano would stress the heck out of any tang...

if i were to do it again id prob go with a 50g breeder at least. realistically, i think 75g min is what you should be aiming for...given the fish you wish to keep
