cpr bak pak skimmer

does anyone here use this type of skimmer? I just hooked it up yesterday . I also installed the bubble eliminator sock, But I have not been able to stop the micro bubbles from reaching the tank.
I am assuming it needs a break in period. and have tried and am trying the venturi in all positions.

I've had this skimmer since I set up my tank. I added the bubble trap (not sock) and it helped a lot. There are times when it's a little more bubbly than usual but I just deal with it...

In time it should settle down and stop sending micro bubbles to the tank.

Getting the surface skimmer/trap worked wonders on mine. Just make sure you take it apart and clean it and the ph regularly, preferably with vinegar.

I had the same issue but it went away after a month or so. Needs to "gum up" a bit before it works at it's best.

I hated cleaning mine, but it would clear up in about a day for me.
No bubble trap.

It is still producing micro buble, but definitely less. but I am not getting alot of skim, What height do you keep the collection cup at? I believe the directions said 1/8" under water line but I think I will check again as I am not sure...
