Hey guys and gals.
My first build thread will be here I guess.
I'm on another site, same name, but I never did a build there cuz, well, the system was already built. I always had intentions to do a build thread if it was from the start. But since I'm new to this site and was asked to throw up some pictures, I guess we're going to start in the middle. Well, until I can upgrade this bad boy. That'll be lots of fun. That's why this is in the middle, just not done, I guess in a way it'll never be done.

I have been reefing since the early 90s. My first system was a disaster. Bought it from a friend of mine who worked at a pet store. Back then I don't think anybody really knew a whole lot and this system was a 54 front hex wet-dry filter. Bleached Rock, Powder Blue Tang, lionfish, anenome, all under regular t12's. Needless to say just about everything died unless it was brought to a lfs.
Then I moved to a house and the next system was 100 gallon 5 ft that got upgraded to a 90 gallon beef ready and that system up and running for a good while. It got broken down in 2008 and I really just recently got back in 2014.
So now my current tank is a 75 gallon refried with a 50 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank in the basement as a sump. It's got an apex, reefbreeder lights, sicce syncra 9.0 return pump.
Auto top off is by tunze with an auto ro/di top off programmed in the Apex. I do a 1 gallon a day water change Monday thru Friday.
Here are some pics of the main display.

Here are some pics of my messy sump area. I'm really strapped for room so it's under the stairs. Definatly need for some cable management.
Lots of diy stuff and gets upgraded as funds become availible.

Looks nice Dan. Did you get those Royal grammars as a pair?
Actually no.
The bigger one has been with me since startup, 8 years.
The small one, long story short, was a wrong delivery to a woman giving 2 fish away. I jumped on it. The other fish was a midas. Sadly, he didn't make it through qt. But the rg did. I had my doubts they would get along but to my surprise, they swim together a lot.
Could be because of the size differance.
