Downsizing begins today! New Build.

CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade - I prefer a finer sand but this set up is going to be predominantly SPS and the flow is high. It doesn't move around much and looks pretty good to me.

I have been battling diatoms for quite some time on my new system, I have been diligent with my RODI resin and it wasn't helping. Not sure if my dry rock or sand is the major source but I decided to add a UV Sterilizer to help clear up the water. I ended up going with a Vecton 200 8 watt (smoking good deal and cheaper replacement bulbs) and I am feeding off my return pump. Withing 24 hours things began to look better, I cut it back to 12 hours a day on my Reefkeeper. Early returns are that this thing is incredible and I'm not sure why I didn't have one on my 120. The BTAs in my system have responded to the clearer water and look noticeable better.

Time to start adding coral in the display.
