Dry Rock Curing

I’m re-aquascaping a portion of my established tank and currently have the rock curing in saltwater. I think the rock I used I may have cured before, years ago. How soon after starting the curing process do people notice phosphates/nitrates increases? If I don’t notice a big swing in nitrates, etc. I might rush the process and add the rock to the tank sooner than the expected 4-6 weeks. (I don’t have a lot of room and the curing storage container is kinda in the way.

If there is not phosphate and nitrate increase in a few days and you are adding this piece in an established tank, you definitely can just add it to the tank. To make sure that the rock does not have contamination of heavy metal, submerge the rock in saturated Kalkwasser water over night then rinse it throughly.
