I have one but I'm in Danvers. Grab a small bucket or cup and scoop water from the tank and drop it in from about a foot above. I think that might help the air exchange until you figure something out. Good luck.

Walmart fishing section. They have some nece ones that are really cheap and run off dcell batteries.

joker, i live on the other side of Belmont street near lake ave (i know you're on Green Hill)...if something like this happens again, i have a dc inverter that runs off a charged car battery (i also have charged car batteries. you could run half your tank for a day if you needed off one charge (i keep batteries on trickle in the basement at all times).
