I JUST GOT A TON OF FEEDER SHRIMP AT JAYS AQUATICS,COULDNT BELIEVE THE PRICE.iv'e kept these before throughout the entire winter in a large rubbermaid type container, using a hang on filter inside that i fit into another plastic container to protect the motor w/a rock to keep it under water,a heater that kept it around 65 degrees and aeration.worked perfectly and never ran out of food for my octopus .he was a very happy camper!

also used sea water for the large outside tub,but used instant ocean when i would bring a dozen or so inside for my 5 gallon shrimp tank ,and raise the temp to at least 70 degrees.i fed them flake food and any extra brine or mysis that i didnt want to overfeed my livestock.in the big tub they would feed on and weed out the sick and/or weaker shrimp,so i didnt feed them as much as to keep the bioload in check.going up for more shrimp to make sure i dont run out
