Freshly mixed salt water

I mixed some new salt water to do a water change and I found that the heater tripped my GFI. Looks like the heater is junk. My question is should I use the water or should I be concerned of impurities from the bad heater and dump the water?

Dump it. Why risk it? I had a heater blow and I could see an oily looking film on the water surface of my mixing bucket.

I don't see any film or anything that looks different, but I will probably play it safe and dump it. Thanks!

+ 1 on the dumping. My mother in law cleans the kitchen table with window cleaner in a can and I had a full pale of mixed saltwater to do a water change right next it and when I saw it I didn’t even think twice , just dumped it and rinsed it with ro.
