dont know why.. but i remember my anenome use to be around 3-4 spread open..// now it always close up to about 1-2 inches .. it seems it dont like the light anymore.. i only have a 1x70 14k bulb... anyone know why

How big a tank is it?
How far away from the bulb is the nem?
How old is the bulb?
Any changes to your system lately?

What Jenn said, need more info.

That said, if the BTA is getting smaller it's most likely not getting enough light.

You can make up for that to some extent by feeding it. Small silversides are often reccomended, or personally I prefer to just squirt some mysis onto the tentacles when I feed the rest of my tank.

its a 16g bow front. the bulb is fairly new.. like i said when the lights are off with just moon lights it open up good... but when the lights go on it shrinks down

I have never kept anemones (except Aiptasia :D) so my advice is next to useless. I am just thinking that keeping good water quality is difficult in a tank that small. Could you run the normal test (PH, Cal, Alk, Nitrate, Phos, Temp, salinity) and post the results. Perhaps it is a water quality issue.
