Very rarely do I see a vid that is just really nice to watch. Good saturday morning watch. I live near ocean and dive, so I'm really interested in setting up a cold water version of this, maine coastline, buttttttt may have to run chiller non stop. Lol. I can hear my electric meter whirring $$$$$. Lol.

I have kept many local inverts long term successfully without chillers. As long as the tank is in a room with AC in summer it works well. There are some deeper water creatures from our area that can’t take the 60’s and low 70’s, but those are not usually realistic specimens for pets. If it lives in a tide-pool or harbor/estuary, it likely can live at home.

I'm a sump person, I love my dt but want it to look like ocean. I wish I had kept 55g sump to side of tank, its gorgeous. So setting up a tank like that would be awesome.
