The Cambridge Petco had an older guy who was in charge of the fish (tall black dude) who was in the Freshwater club and was somewhat knowledgeable and they sometimes quarantined and refused to sell stuff. So it's not always run by clueless teenagers.

David definately knows his stuff. When I finally get a discus tank going, I'm going to try to get some of his stock, he's the best discus breeder in the area by far. (and his other freshwater fish are excellent as well)
