how to make test kits easyer to read?

reefing again!
is there a way to add more water to the test sample or something like that to make the color change easyer to see in test kits?

The lighting and background color of where you view the sample can make a huge difference.

I've used a shallow cardboard box with white insides to read the vial in in the past. Also make sure you're in plenty of light.

I thought there was a way to double the water and the number of drops you use to make the color change easyer to see. the reason is because my calcium test says to add drops till the pink turns to blue. but its hard to tell the purple from blue.

On the Salifert calcium test, it takes 2 or 3 additional drops from the time you start seeing a change in color (turning purple) until the change is complete (it becomes blue). I think I remember reading a thread in RC where Habib (from Salifert) confirmed that you should add those 2-3 drops until you reach a clear blue color.
