My wife and I someday want to participate in a reef regeneration project somewhere - basically planting frags :) preferably one where there's surf along some of dem reefs). So I like to sometimes read articles related to those efforts (need to find some more Pacific/Indian based articles - most of this is Caribbean .

Yup, overshading and flow suffocation are the main cause of death in my tank with SPS. When the tank is empty, I was very eager to get every single SPS frags out there. Since they're 0.5-1" frags, I can get a lot. As they grow, the dominant one will soon take over and overshade the nearby frag.
