Hello, i got a Kenya tree on a piece of rock yesterday and i found this little friend growing next to it. Any idea what this is and what to do about it? (Photo and video attached)

Thanks!!

Technically, it’s both. Aiptasia, also known as a glass anemone. Can reproduce quickly (especially if you feed heavily) and has the potential to sting corals.

With these guys, if you see one, you’ve got more hiding somewhere (they can be SMALL). Some people prefer manual removal while others like natural predators. Both have pros and cons

Thanks! So i decided to remove that rock completely and tried fragging the Kenya tree by cutting a couple of branches and hoping they'll reattach.
Since i never had aiptasia in the tank I'm hoping it didn't create copies of itself on other rocks/sand in my tank!
