I originally bought the tank back when the contest started and set it up on march 8th but due to time constraints I never started a thread for it. But I have this still running and figured it would be nice to post the pictures in here. The set up is sumpless I used about 3-4 lbs of some dry rock and rubble. The sand is black/grey about .5-1.5mm. I have two small heaters, one is under the sand, the other is in the filter. The corals I selected for the tank were gonna be zoos, mushrooms,leathers and maybe a lps. I left the tank alone to cycle for about 2 1/2 months and then started to add my corals at about one per week. As of today the stock includes:
Zoos;
Purple deaths
candy apple reds
blue hornets
sunny D's
Alpha & Omegas
Leathers;
tyre green toadstool
green nep tree
mushroom;
Ric
The only live stock is 2 red banded trochus snails
I do a 25% (half gallon) water change per week and the lights are on a timer from 3-10pm every day.
I hope to post a once a week picture of the aquarium. I also have some pics i took of the aquarium's progress (i think there are more pics somewhere)
