Are you looking to use this as base rock in your tank or for another purpose?
There are many better looking and in some cases cheaper alternatives to limestone for setting up a tank.

Please tell us more of what you are trying to achieve.

i am not sure if they sell it as rocks or bags but there is a limestone quarry right on rt146 in lincoln rhode island probably a half hour from you

looking for cheaper solution of base rock,has anybody tried to use lime stone tiles?pavement plates?

Why not use PVC pipe cut just a little shorter then your sand bed and then stack the rocks on that. 2" or 3" should work just fine.
