I have had a pair of of tank raised percula clowns for about two years.
They always looked like they were tending to some eggs under my green BTA but I have never seen actual eggs.
Well they finally did it.
Last night I found probably a few hundred little pink/red eggs.
Early christmas for me.
The only thing is,today there are alot less.I'm thinking my fish are picking at them.
However I would think the clowns would atack them first.
Anyone know anything about breeding clowns???
How long before the eggs hatch?
Can I transplant them to a nano or do they need thier parants?
If I could get them safe what do they eat?

Do a search on this forum. There are several theads about it. You will not be able to keep this batch, but if they have started spawning, you may be able to raise future batches. It is a pretty involved process, so doing your research is key. :) HTH

my clowns eggs ussually hatch in about 7-12 days and i never saw them succesfully live. there is a certain way to catch them and raise them. the fry grow fast within 1 weeks time. ive read that they need to eat rotifers and newly hatched brine shrimp. good luck with your attempt.

Eggs

It's a lot of work you need to do a lot of reading. I have don it in the past but only a very small and I mean small % made it into a display tank.:)
