Need help identifying these little white balls

Hi,

I've got a 150 gallon tank, well established. Over this past year I've seen my zoa colonies melt away. I've read through so many posts, water quality and lights, etc. I have a few of these little white balls, one of which seems to have "roots" or something, the other almost looks similar to leather coral.

Can anyone provide an ID from these pics, and could they possibly be responsible for the collapse of my zoa's?

Thanks!

Haha sorry, it was late and I guess I didn't think that through. Back to business though, the only thing I saw for suggestions was possibly a sponge? As I only have 3 that I can see, I can't imagine they would have had any impact on my zoa colonies?

It’s a sponge they can cover parts of corals, can always grab it with tweezers and remove it.
