New 28g Nano Cube HQI

I am just starting to setup a 2nd tank (nano cube hqi).

The question I have, is in comes with 4 LED (blue lights). When should those lights be on? I am not sure if I should use a timer or if they just stay on all the time. ...


Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would set the timer for the LED's to come on... no point in wasting its life when its not going to do much with the MH light on.

leds last very long longer than you would probably have your tank.......any beside there cheap to replace anyways.....couple bucks down at your local radio shack
