I stopped in at the new LFS in Salem, NH today and must say I was rather pleased. Competitive prices, really healthy looking stuff, very friendly and outgoing staff. It just opened recently so the shelves and tanks weren't fully stocked but as I've stated their stuff looked healthy and I'm sure the shelves will fill up as time goes by.

I went there today too (Matt told me about it, so we went). Everyone was nice, friendly, asked what kind of tanks we had, not pushy at all, didn't give you that feeling of "buy something or get out". They had the game on with a nice waiting area. I was tempted to stay and watch the game, maybe order some food and drinks.... LOL I'm a bit of an organization freak and like things to be clean and this store was very neat and clean, very good first impression. One person said he has been in the hobby for 14 years and he does tank maintenance and decided to open the store. I told him about the forum and he said he was going to check it out and see about becoming a sponsor.

They are located at:
314A South Broadway
Salem, NH 03079
603-458-2247

Just a warning or a plus, depending on how you look at it..... there is an "Adult" store right next to them in the little shopping center, so ummm..... well..... either visit both or quickly escort your children into the fish store before they can ask what the other store sells.... LOL.

I stopped in today and was pleased. Fish and corals all looked healthy. It actually looks like a retail store and not a flea market which is a refreshing change. This will be my first stop from now on when I'm in the area.

finally made it in and i was impressed. tanks were filling up and fish looked good. prices also looked comparable to the other stores in the area. the guys working there seemed like they knew what they were talking about. i hope they keep up the good work and are around for a while.

Went in again today with Mike(littlefish09). The tanks are filling up nicely with some very healthy looking stuff. Very clean store, very kind staff, reasonable pricing. Couldn't ask for more.

Went in last week. I liked the tank setups, real clean looking. Livestock looked healthy and was similairly priced to other stores, I didnt really check out the dry goods prices. Chatted with the owner and another employee for a little bit, and they were very friendly. The only downfall of this place is the location, its a pita if you are trying to take a left out onto the main road during mid day traffic as broadway gets very congested during the day. Other than that, when I make my lfs rounds I will be stopping in again.

I went in and spoke to Chris and John. Haven't seen them in a while. They didn't have a ton of high-end stuff but they're just starting out. Once they get rolling it will come.
The store looked well thought out and professional but I really don't care about that as long as the livestock is competively priced, healthy and they have a good selection.

Stopped back in last week and was happily greeted upon entering. I talked to Steve and Frank for a bit and both were very helpful. All the fish and coral looked good and healthy with no nuisance pests. But that will take time to see if they keep up on it. They are still letting the tanks settle in before they get nicer corals and fish in. Good quality, better husbandry skills.
