Ozone reactor

Anyone know of a good ozone reactor? Only thing i can find is some cheesy thing made by coralife, I would rather not do a DIY, and after consulting etss, they reccomended not running it through the skimmer as there isn't enough contact time with downdraft types. Like to keep my budget in the $200 range.

Brian, I already built one of those. It isn't too hard....

You could probably build one out of an old venturi skimmer or even an airstone skimmer. Here's a pic

Hmmm so i could probably modify one of these, and it will match my existing equipment.......only thing that concerns me is the bioballs. Seems to me it would in turn be a nitrate factory over time, unless the ozone would make life undesirable.

There's no way nitrates will grow on the bioballs.. That chamber will be full of ozone!! The bioballs are just there to add contact time with water & ozone.

Intake is on the top on my unit. You may want to cap one of those ports on that unit & pop a return hole on the bottom of that PM unit if that is what you end up with.
(the one in the center with the tube should be capped)
