pH swing

Wow...never realized how much pH swings in my tank from nighttime to daytime. Now that my apex system is partially hooked up, I'm seeing readings 5 or so times a day...basically it swings between 8.0 and 8.3 for now...I even have a chunk of caluerpa in the 'sump' area with lighting opposite of my display lights. Should I be doing more (if so what) to counter these swings?

That's prefectly normal and fine. Nothing to worry about.

I have about the same. Swings between 8.1x and 8.3x and I reverse light my refugium. Starts to drop right after MH shuts off. When I first saw it I was a little worried at how high it got. I only have regular probe. High low seems to drift depending on day but swing is always same. Even after calibration.
