I recently have a coralife super protein skimmer for up to 65 gallons and just don't think its doing it's job and am trying to look for another one with the help of you guy's. the tank is a 50 breeder with a 20 gallon sump. I now that with the live rock, sand and a couple of other things that the water gets displaced so it is not really 70 gallons of water. The reason why I want a new skimmer is because I want to house more sps corals and cannot have my occasional nitrate spike I only feed one time a day and add zooplankton and phytoplankton once a week and I know that is why im getting the spike ever so often;the zoo/phytoplankton that is. So any advice on skimmers for my size tank and load (let's say heavy stocked) and is efficient enough to house sps with not to much to worry about then my routine of water changes. link's would be helpfull also and im looking for one that is a in sump and the space I have in the sump is 11 front to back by 7 side to side by 22 inch's tall
