Quick Q - rabbit fish and nets

Can I use a net on a rabbitfish or will the spines get stuck? Somehow my rabbit got into the overflow (No idea how that could have happened) and I need to get him out. Can anyone think of something else to use (remembering that they are poisinous) . I uaually use a gloved hand to get a fish out of there and it is only 6" of water or so because I filled the bottom with crushed coral but with the pipes it is pretty tight.

The spines will probably get caught in the net but at this point I can't really see any other solution. Sticking your hands in there is pretty likely going to get you stabbed.

Ok, I did use a net and he did get totally stuck in it. The good news is he baisicly tangled himself in the net with no effort on my part. I got him out and back into the tank and he thrashed around on the net for about 2 minutes and finally freed himself. I don't think he was badly hurt, but I would not recommend my method.

Well, It's good to hear that the fish is alright, have you thought about gutter-guarding your overflows?

I have gutter guard all the way around. I have no idea how he got in there
