Refugium necessary?

I'm close to wrapping up a build or at least I think I am. Anyways I can't find much Info on if a refugium is necessary for a Lps only. I'm only interested in zoas, hammer's and frog spawn. I planned for a refugium but if it's not necessary I'd like to cut out any extra maintenance... Also can I cash app anyone for the membership?

Def not necessary and in a lot of cases it can cause harm if it build up junk. Done right and it’s helpful otherwise it turns into extra water volume and a safe haven

Nothing is necessary in this hobby and it's all what your preference for nutrient export is. You can mix and match so I'd say depending on what else you're using for nutrient export you could easily go without a fuge...
