Replacing Glass

Recently picked up a 40g. One of the ends is broken though. I can most likely pick up a small piece of glass (12"x12") to replace it, but how much of a pain is it to actually replace a side of a tank?

Has anyone done it before? Any tips/suggestions/websites?

I don't think dissasembling the tank and replacing the pane is worth it, but you may be able to fix the problem by just using lots of silicone and putting a new pane of glass on the inside of the cracked pane. How badly broken is the pane?

Bad. I put a folded glass cover/top inside the tank while moving it. It slid and hit the end of the tank. So more then just a single crack... :/

Someone told me you can buy replacement trim from AGA for pretty cheap. Still, sounds like a lot of trouble for a $50 tank.
