Scared for my Green Leather Toadstool

This guy seemed happy with polyps out this morning, and then he closed up, but now I see dark enflamed regions on his top surface. Any ideas on what condition this is? All my water parameters were tested last night and Nitrate was the only one out of range(20ppm). Mixing water for a WC now.

That is all perfectly normal, mine does the same thing.

I wouldn't be too worried either. I've had leathers look like that for a few days randomly for no reason... Silly leathers
